Yells that always filled the stadium when Indonesian badminton playing. No matter in Indonesia or in another country. And that yells just heard at Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, England.
All England 2017 just done and two names of Indonesian was recorded as the champion. It’s still actual. Indonesia men’s double, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamulyo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, were hold the tradition of champion title on the oldest badminton tournament in this world for their country.
An awesome game of both bring them to the podium. Kevin have ability to intercept the shuttlecock fastly and always keeping alacrity in front of the net. Meanwhile, Gideon’s dip smash is no doubt. Both of them playing well, all out, and energic.
Flashback to the matches of Kevin/Gideon on All England 2017, they deserved awesome game. At quarterfinal they defeated Tiongkok’s pair, Chai Biao/Hong Wei through straight game. Then, at semifinal dramatic game deserved by defeated Denmark’s pair, Pieler Kolding/Mads Conrad Petersen through rubber game. Kevin/Gideon finally reach the final game and beat Tiongkok’s pair, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen. The final game is so attractive. Both of them are dreaming their first title of All England. But, in this third participation on All England, Kevin/Gideon succesed to be the champion.
This achievement is a pride to us and our nation. Indeed, Indonesia always recorded as the champion for All England tournament, hopefully it will always be. It’s not just about achievement record, but also is a fact that Indonesia are full of great talented whose worth to be appreciate.
